  • Catalog: Yearly from 2008 to 2015
  • Localized to: English
  • Description:

The 'recycling rate of e-waste' is the 'collection rate' multiplied by the 'reuse and recycling rate'. • The 'collection rate' equals the volumes collected of WEEE in the reference year divided by the average sum of EEE (electrical and electronic equipment) put on the market in the previous three years. • The 'reuse and recycling rate' is calculated by dividing the weight of the WEEE that enters the recycling/preparing for re-use facility by the weight of total treatment of WEEE. The 'recycling rate of e-waste' (this indicator) considers the entire chain from put on the market, collection and treatment. Note that the calculation of the 'reuse and recycling rate' as addressed in the Directive 2012/19/EU differs from this approach.
